Treatment
You may sit in a chair or lie down on a Reiki table, according to your preference. You will remain clothed, so it is better to wear comfortable loose fitting clothing. I want you to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible, I turn off the overhead lights, light a few candles and put on soft relaxing music.
First I will place my hands either above you or lightly on you, depending on what you prefer. I will draw in the energy required, sometimes this energy will cause you to feel either a cool or a warm sensation or a tingling or throbbing in a particular area. You will take an active role in the healing by relaxing and letting the energy flow through you. Reiki knows exactly what it needs to work on, and it will seek to heal the cause of the illness not just the symptoms involved.
My main focus consists of the top of your head, forehead, throat, heart, spleen (solar plexus), stomach (sacral) and the pelvis (base). Other areas that I focus on are the arms, hands, shoulders, jaw, hips, legs, ankles, feet and back. I will do all that I can to make sure your Reiki treatment is both a comfortable and relaxed one.
Crystals and gemstones have constant vibrations, which when placed on the body help to stimulate the natural electrical current in it and bring it back into balance.
As part of your Reiki session I will check your Chakras to see which ones are out of balance and re-align them for you.

The amount of treatments can vary from person to person. Usually conditions take time to heal. If your condition is a long standing one it might take more treatments over a longer period of time.
The Canadian Reiki Association states "3 or 4 sessions over a 10-14 day period are recommended to remove entrenched blocks in your energy system; then once a week, or once every two weeks until the issue is resolved".
After the first session you should begin to see some improvement. Please note that although there is no guarantee that you will be totally healed, your body will still benefit from each and every treatment you receive.

What to Expect After Your Treatment
After your treatment, you might want lay still and give yourself a few minutes to come back to full awareness. Some people feel a little groggy or tired after their treatment while others can feel energized.
Care After A Reiki Session:

What you do after your Reiki session can actually strengthen and support what we’ve done during our time together.
During the next 24-48 hours:
Relaxation, rest, and being quiet after your session, allows your body time to absorb the Reiki energy—to become more integrated with it. You can listen to soft music, take a walk in nature, or even take a nap. Try to avoid crowds, loud music, strenuous activities, or negative/unsupportive people, as your body will feel open and vulnerable.
It is also very beneficial to drink as much water as possible, this will aid in flushing the toxins released during the session. If these toxins are not flushed from your system they can be re-absorbed, re-polluting your body. I also recommend taking a hot bath with 1 cup of Epsom salts, as this will help the toxins release through your pores, and will also cleanse your aura. Frequent hot baths or showers are recommended any time you are feeling very stressed, frustrated or negative for this reason.

Daily Routine:

As part of your daily routine if you shower, imagine rainbow coloured water flowing from your shower head over your body. If you are a person who takes a bath instead, imagine yourself immersed in a tub full of rainbow coloured water. Imagine this rainbow water cleansing your aura/energy field of stress, dis-comfort and dis-ease. You don’t have to be in physical contact with water for this technique to work. Just imagine you are standing under a lovely rainbow coloured waterfall. Use this aura cleansing technique any time you feel like it, but especially after being in a crowded environment, or interacting with someone who is upset or depressed. When you’re done seal yourself in a light coloured bubble, or put a cloak of protection on. If that isn’t your thing, you can carry a crystal in your pocket or wear a protective necklace (a cross, angel, crystal or whatever works for you). Now you can enjoy your day feeling more balanced and less vulnerable.
